I am trying to fix my wells monitor for a Rampage game. I recapped the monitor but it has a strange waviness on the top half of the screen. This doesnt move like the hula dance symptom. It just stays in a fixed scrambled pattern that won't adjust out as shown in the attached picture. Any idea what to replace?

If it wasn't there before you recapped it, you might want to recheck your solder joints? I remember that I had almost that exact issue when I recapped the WG in my Indiana Jones. I just reflowed the solder and it was good to go.

I appreciate the responses. It was there before I capped it but I will check the solder joints tomorrow. I'll also post the model number. It was WG 25K7 something or another

check that 50/60hrtz pot. and the h-hold pots.

also check and see if your filter cap is still good. i know its not wavy like a filter cap but it cant hurt.

check the ground in the cab as well maybe its stray ac running around somewhere.

Peace

I replaced the filter cap, no change. I examined the horizontal hold pot and voila, a broken leg! I'll replace it tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed.
