Is there two different models of the V2000 ? I have a cap kit from Bob Roberts and it lists c500 , c501 , c502 , c503 , but I'm pretty sure my monitor doesn't have them because I don't see them anywhere .

Can xsistors be installed backwards like a capacitor ?

When I was reflowing solder to the header pins there were two pins that are on the same circuit that kept joining together , is it ok to leave it like that since its on the same circuit or should I separate the solder of the two pins ?

If they are already connected at that location, either by a trace or by being on the same pad, then it is fine.

I think you have a kit for an 802.

Top of the page says WG V2000 , and all the other cap locations were correct . Just the 500's I don't see .

You've been working on a V2000 , did you see any of those caps ?

They're on the same trace , thats why the solder keeps joining to the pin next to it ,

Some are on the deflection board, and some are on the HV board in the cage...

Ok are these them ? They don't look like the caps in the kit so I had trouble finding them . The ones in the kit are 1uf , these look like .47uf

Yeah, but it looks like it has tantalum caps there. You might be okay replacing them with electrolytics, but save the tant's in case you have an issue afterwards...

Ok thanks for the advice . Should I maybe just leave them and not replace them ? But then again Bob should know what hes doing by including the electrolytics in the kit to replace them . Well if I replace them I'll be sure to save them .

just in case anyone comes looking for this subject (as i did,) i just replaced the .47uf35v tantalum caps with the 1uf50v electrolytic caps that came with the Bob Roberts kit. so far it seems to be working just fine.

i did, however, save the original tantalum caps.
