I'm having to ask just to clear the doubts out of my head and my boss's. I'm sure the answer is "Cap Kit"

Got this monitor from a local business that handles a lot of route based coinop, including for some games in the arcade I work at.

The monitor looks ok, but we don't know what's causing the lines on the right hand side. Also, it looks like the vertical (or as mounted, horizontal) is starting to die on us. I've adjusted the size as much as I can and it appears to cover less of the screen everytime I turn it on to work on.

A tech from the business claims that he has never seen a monitor have these kinds of lines in it and swears it's the Jamma board we're using. I really think it's a cap issue and just want some confirmation on my thoughts.

Thanks for looking at it.

judging by the horizontal adjustment issue, I'm going to lean towards caps.

most people here will tell you to just cap it first, since it's still technically working and not nuking anything. try that first, then see if the problem persists or goes away.

I have 3 wg7000 that are doing the same thing, and I just capped them. I bought some extra parts off bob roberts and I am going to start switching them out, 1 at a time until I find the culprit. I will let you know if I have any success.

K7000? Adjust the 50/60-Hz pot on the PCB (behind the horizontal hold pot) and that should go away....

yeah I tried adjusting it for a while and it only got worse. I guess the caps were too far gone and needed replacing.

Screen's great now. It was my first go at putting in a cap kit, which was actually a bit fun. For me, at least.
