I was given a black widow game that sat in a friends basement for 25 years and hardly played.

the game worked when i was a kid and hasen't been turned on in maybe 10 years. I get it home and turn it on and r100 on the wg 6100 deflection board starts to smoke.

I order a cap kit and extra parts kit. Put everything in and then r101 smokes. I check the 6100_faq.pdf and it leads me to r903 which i replace and then d102 and d103 pop open.

I am looking for someone i can send the deflection and HV board to for repair. Or maybe some more advice?

I have done cap kits on ez20's a few times and re caped my Donky kong popeye and stargate PS and Boards... I'm not "new to this"

Thanks in advance.

I can do it, but I recommend replacing the low voltage section (where you are losing parts) with an LV2000 or LV6100 upgrade (about $35). It will help keep this from happening again.

Now, you may have other issues that are causing this to happen, so if you have someone (even me) work on them, they can test it while doing the upgrade for you. The only thing we won't be able to test are the 6 bottlecap transistors mounted to the frame. If you have a problem there, it typically blows a fuse. You can test them for shorts fairly easily, and get replacements from Bob Roberts should you need them...
