we've seen your arcade pics: how about just signs?

The now defunked Fun N' Games at the Willowbrook mall in Wayne NJ. This pic was taken on their final day in business, 11/24/07. :(

It's an old thread, but thought I would put my post here rather than start a new one given the theme...

One of the last standing arcades in Vancouver BC is the Movieland Arcade. Located downtown on Granville Street, I dropped during a visit to the city in September 2011:

It has a good number of cabs and some pins as well. They had one or two original classic games, like Ms. Pac Man, as well as a 60-in-1 cab featuring the classics as well. At the front of the store when you first walk in is the change counter to get your quarters; the games are organized along two main paths (3 rows of games total). I decided to take a self-portrait for classic posterity:

The "movieland" in Movieland Arcade comes from the peep shows they have in the back. I didn't really clue in they even existed despite the overhead sign:

I didn't see an entrance to a rear room, nor anyone venturing past the arcade games -- it's hard to tell in the picture, but there are a series of coin operated white photobooth-type cabinets in the back so you can partake in 1970s peep shows.

One other photo I wanted to share has Vancouver roots and dates from 1994 -- it's from one of the ferry rides I took on the BC (British Columbia) Ferries fleet that run between Vancouver and locations on Vancouver Island and up the Sunshine Coast and beyond. The pic was snapped in one of the hallways:

The BC Ferries employee that came up with this "international" sign for arcade must have had a lot of fun. I haven't been on a ferry in about 10 years, so I can't remember if they're still posted on the boats. 17 years later, I finally had the opportunity to print it up post it in my "arcade" -- the sign is posted at the bottom of the stairs leading to the basement, not that anyone really needs "directions" to the games in our house. :)

One interesting footnote: as part of its standard announcement before departure, BC Ferries advertises the various amenities on-board, including a "video arcade." You can take a listen on this YouTube recording:
