we've seen your arcade pics: how about just signs?

Finally got it and managed to get it hung.

Welp... I am guessing The Asshat Arcade sign has been bumped to oblivion...

:(

>sigh<

Sucks to be me.

The sign is awesome, but damn.... Electrical tape over the windows?

:D Backyard engineering at its best. That wall is southern facing. I used a black trash bag over the window behind the games and some left over automotive tint over the other. Had tons of light coming through the door so looked around to find what I had on hand that would take care of it and the tape won. Need to get some more window tint and do those too.

No it hasn't, I will get to it but comcast has recently taken over my life with a TON of tiny tiny decals in an almost never ending stream and my freetime has been spent on the house and my arcade. I'll try and work something up for you by the end of the week providing I have the energy.

Sign looks good.

Not the fanciest sign in the world, but this was actually in an arcade I used to frequent. This thing is really tall and I haven't found a place to hang it in the basement yet.

I had a tiny hope on getting this,

but it was removed and destroyed (!) a couple of weeks after the pic was taken. It was in Germany and the shop was closed and deserted. We had some wild ideas about removing it, but it turned out it was already gone while we were discussing the options (which were few).....

I loved it because it said neon Licht and not light. The reason is that this is my favorite Kraftwerk song....

O well, drifting off........

Bagatelle Place
This if from the Executive Arcade mentioned in Time Magazine 1982
The same article featured pictures of Crazy Otto.
It was located in the basement of The Rye Town Hilton.

My brother dumpster dived it years ago and saved if for me.

Some day I'll have a proper wall to hang it from.

Almost there

Since we're in a historic district its a slow movin train...we can't use any illuminated signs, no neon, etc. This is the sign we're awaiting approval for...

Hey, arcade + neon = historic ! ;)

Phet, I guess that this one was done with EL wire ? I like !

Yep. Routed plywood, EL wire in 2 colors, each color has it's own inverter and power source. That way one color can blink while the other lights solid.
