Okay... where on Earth did you get the yield sign... Did you make that?

I'd like to have that one for the bottom of my stairs.

Its a true Yield sign retired from a highway; I bought it at Goldrush Days in Oronoco, MN this summer for $5. Most of the other gypsy junk sellers there wanted $75-$100 for a sign, I wasn't going to pay that. Been waiting about 5 years for one of them to have a cheap one. This was the year. Prok made the vinyl lettering that follow the yield sign down the ceiling to the arcade sign. The words, font and the way I laid them out were my design. The arcade sign at the bottom a signpainter friend of mine made out of plexi a few years ago....

I wanted to snatch this neon up before they tore the place down, but it didn't happen... Oh well.
The signage from the old Tilt arcade in the local mall (which both the Tilt and the mall are no longer there)

Not exactly an arcade sign, but anyone who grew up in the 70's in Dallas/Fort Worth should remember Crystal's Pizza...
They had an amazing arcade and games scattered all through the place. First place I ever saw (and played) Sea Wolf as well as a 2 player Atari Fire Truck. I also remember eating Pizza while sitting/playing at the cocktail table Asteroids. I'm sure they really enjoyed me and my friends putting our greasy hands all over the games.... Good times.
There is still a Crystal's in Irving, TX, but it's a shadow of it's former self... looks really run down and has horrible pizza. They still have an arcade but it's mostly redemption crap... although they did have a beat Centipede.
The shot below is from the Fort Worth location Circa 1978.

Very very cool. I like the whole set-up.

Here is the sign I designed - I just need to make it somehow. I can't decide whether I should backlight it or do something completely different.

Yeah mate. I thought those were shorts but didn't want to say too much, lol. Thanks for the reply :D

RM, that is COOL. What font is the bottom text? I saw it on an old poster and have been trying to find it since! Thanks

That's a good one. I wouldn't know where to start. Was it hard? Are you in the sign business, cause it looks like it came out of a store.

No... sign was pretty simple to make. It's made of MDF with the exception of the letters which came from a hobby store. I was going to make the letters out of MDF as well, but found these and they were inexpensive and look pretty good. Sign components were painted with an oil based paint (sprayed on) and put together with screws and epoxy.
After I made the sign, my wife pointed out that the sign bears a curious similarity to the Sonic Drive-In sign.... and it indeed does. :( Now that's all I can see when I look at it - Crap.

I wouldn't worry about it it still looks great. I'm in the sign biz and it looks very professional in all respects.

Below is mine which you guys have all seen 1000 times. I cut it is out of scrap MDO in two levels. Little John, Robin, and the other guy are one and the lettering is another. They are spaced about 3/4 of an inch apart with little blocks of wood. I painted them with 1 shot, digital graphics are applied to front, and it's back lit with some cheap xmas lights stapled to the back side. Since my little arcade is a temporary thing I didn't want to spend a fortune and for a cheap little sign I think it looks great.
