West Alllis, WI Super Auctions December 11th

Seemed to be some pretty decent prices this time. Pin selection was kinda weak though. Not the worst auction I've been to. I finally got a vid back into my collection!

I didn't know that the Emergency Call went that cheap or I would have taken that along too. After I see all the prices I'm sure I will have other regrets.

I thought that was a buy back.

I took a stab at the showcase Maximum Force but the guy bidding against me was the seller, it made its way from Fun World.

I hope the 8-liner I took it out of didn't do any damage to someone's van
Nothing serious. Just a scratch or two. I'm not worried about it, since it's my junk moving van. Was interesting fitting that and Gunblade in the back, though.

I wish I could have made this. As usual, something popped up at the last minute... I am also just curious if anybody knows what the Skee-Ball games went for? I have always wanted one in my shop...

And pardon my newb-ness, but when people say something is a 'buy back', what does that mean exactly?

Thanks, and hope you guys got some great deals!

It is largely a consignment auction so people bring games to have the SuperAuction folks sell their stuff for them

Let's say you brought a Golden Tee to sell. Knowing you want $500.00 for it. When they start the bidding at $100.00 and only one or two guys are bidding you also bid to increase the price (aka shill bid). If the game isn't going to go for $500.00 you end up as the highest bidder, and effectively buy back your game.

When you see really low prices it doens't mean that is what it went for often times there wasn't enough interest and the operator bought the game back. Even if a bid of $25.00 more came in they would simply bid one more time to ensure that it doesn't sell so cheap.

Here is a real world example. The Maximum Force Showcase cab that was for sale. They sked for a $300.00 starting bid no one jumped. Then $200.00 and still no one jumped. I offerred $100.00. Someone else bid $150.00. They guy who bid $150.00 was the owner of that game. I know this as that game was at a previous auction a week earlier and I saw who the winner was. As soon as he outbid me I dropped out knowing that he would bid agaisnt me until the price was driven up (shilled) to an amount he wanted.

Hope that explains it for ya.

I just realized...I can be really long winded.

Ugh, looks like there were some good pieces for good prices. I skipped because I'm currently way over capacity... What were the Golden Tees and pins going for?

What did the Thunder Blade (helicopter game in 2nd row, closest to the door/end) go for?

I'm the guy who bought the Thunderblade. I'm a sucker for Sega stuff.

Thought I had it at $125 but it got bid up - I paid $225 for it. Probably a little steep but it is in very good condition for its age. The controls are probably going to need an internal cleanup/touchup and possible parts but everything works.

It was my first auction; had a blast. Definitely want to do more in the future.

Light load this time around... The prices finally normal with many good deals to be had.
Got a nice 39" k7600 out of a rolling extreme... garbage game just needed the monitor... Cheap too.

Was that the ATV game, or the luge game?

The ATV game looked semi fun, albeit large as hell.
