Unfortunately the edge connectors Midway used on those games were near obsolete when the game was new and to the best of my knowledge have not been made since the early eighties. Elektron Forge sugested these to me when I asked him about it. If you do use those you have to make sure the pads line up correctly because they do not self-align unless you modify the connector a bit.

If anyone has a better replacement I'd love to here about it

Can we see a pic of what they should look like? I'm not sure if I still have them, but I used to have a couple boxes of wiring harnesses (pulled from cabs) and some connectors looked really weird...

You need a 18 or 36 pin edge connector - I think Riptor had some, I haven't had a chance to try them though. Not easy to come by.

I just finished repairing my BootHill with the exact same issues with the edge connector.
I pulled each wire out and ran some fine grit sandpaper through the connecting edges of each pin & then gently squeezed them together slightly. There was only about 8 of them, and now the connector feels very tight.
No more problems :)
Good luck!

AMP originally made those connectors. Midway and some vending machine companies used those connectors (Automatic Products used them in cigarette machines). The connectors were discontinued at least 20 years ago. You're gonna have to hunt hard for those and I don't think you will find them.
