Just wondering, did SNK ever make a dedicated cab for the Neo Geo MVS systems? If so anyone have pics of what they look like?

don't forget the 6-slot. that damn thing wouldn't go thru a regular doorway!

Plus there's all the weird Euro cabs, Japanese Neo Candy Cabs, that one Samurai Shodown version (which I would love to have cause of the artwork).

There was also the dedicated Samurai Shodown II cab.

It was just a 1Slot MVS but it had the special laminate covering.

There are a lot of conversions out there but I have also seen tons of dedicateds. The original dedicateds are not a true JAMMA and have stereo sound. They have a distinct shape that I think is very easy to identify.

Here's a my 4-slot when I got er home. I love it.

This is the one I have always seen in the wild.

ROFL!! I just noticed that!! Where did you get that? I am a huge Seinfeld fan, as gay as it looks it's still funny and I'd like it for my collection.

My Dad bought it for me. He got it at a garage sale or something. It's now hanging in my basement. :)

Those Gold cabinets are my favorite. They only have a 19" monitor, but the way the cabinet is built the monitor is closer to you, making it plenty big enough. Really cool cabinet.

Don't forget the 2 slot dedicated "Goldie"

I was just looking at hardmvs.com, which says that these do have a card reader, but no external slot. Does that mean you can put a card inside somewhere? Does it work like a Neo-Geo that's got an external slot?

I don't know much about Neo-Geo, but there are some games that look interesting, so I'm trying to learn a bit more.

probably just means you need the wiring and the slot since the board should have the connector. i dont think i know anyone who uses their card slot, nor have i seen a working card.

I'm the opposite. Ive never been a fan of the Goldies, they're just ugly to me. My favorite is the 2 Slot dedicated big red, and of course the Neo25 and Neo29 candy cabs.

The card slot is on the 2 slot mobo, not hooked up externally like the big red 4 and 6 slots. The mobo can be mounted so that a card reader slot can be cut into the wood below the control panel if desired.

The card is great for the sports games (BBStars, soccer, etc) and Magician Lord but not much else.
