Got to meet Gary Vincent who works there, great guy and a class act, got to meet the owner too who's a nice guy also!

I thought I died and went to coin-op heaven when I walked into the place, WOW what a line-up! Gary says he doesn't see nearly enough KLOVers in there so I HIGHLY recommend checking it out if you're in driving distance! When I get a decent camera one of these days I'm going to try to get some pics of all the really rare stuff so I can submit some marquees, bezels and control panels to the database, hopefully in good enough quality so if someone needs to reproduce on for a restore they'll be clear enough.

Here's a pic, Gary on the left, me on the right:

What do you mean, if you're in driving distance ? => http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=191467

:):)

Bob Lawton is the owner but Gary seems to be running the show mostly.
Extremely nice guy !

He mentioned you BTW!

I asked them about that boat kiddy ride that they had restored by American Restoration and that hit a nerve :) I guess it barely worked for 3 days when they got it back and it keeps keeling over.

Don't recall that Universal row the last time I was there. Damn, Gary! Get outta the way of Cosmic Avenger (most beautiful cab ever).

Yeah it's damn cool, I homed in on it right away, and found out how terrible I am at it verses playing it in MAME or Colecovison. Played some Tunnel Hunt for the first time, that game makes your head swim, I can only imagine what it's like to play Tube Panic in an enclosed cab!

Tornadoboy,
Thank you for stopping by; it was a pleasure meeting you too. I hope you can make it back again soon.

Streetzking,
Bob Lawton is the owner of Funspot. He started it in 1952 and still works there 7 days a week. I have worked there for 30 years and started The American Classic Arcade Museum in 1998 to save classic arcade games so the public would have a place to go and enjoy them.

Gary :)

.....for which both of you deserve a statue !!!!

Sorry we missed the time I was up there with my cousin, Gary. He _totally_ enjoyed Funspot, never knew it existed and lives only about 1.5 hrs. from it so I bet he'll be back :)

He also totally beat me on the Super Sprint cab :S

:)
