Me and the gal went to Blainbrook Bowl in Blaine, MN today for dinner and an afternoon of gaming, after having heard about it on Facebook. All I can say is... OMG!!! I saw machines today that I haven't seen in person for 28 years!!! I PLAYED Dig Dug for the first time since I was a teenager... I played Crystal Castles and Track & Field for the first times EVER... I played Pole Position for the first time since about 1991... I saw a Sega Space Firebird and Midway Top Gun pistol shooter, neither of which I'd ever heard of before... I played the new Tron Legacy pinball... I saw Xenon and Eight Ball Deluxe pins for the first time in 30 years... I played Bobby Orr Power Play pinball... I could go on and on... If you're ever in the area, you need to check this place out!

For sure, this place is a diamond in the rough. As far as the Minneapolis / St Paul Metro area is concerned (and for that matter, the greater MN / WI area) I don't believe there's a better place to go to see a fantastic collection of pins and vids. Stunning, simply stunning.

Donny runs a good place, and in my opinion is severely underrated. Please everyone in the area, go there and spend some of your money. You won't regret your visit.

And while you're driving there, please fick a booger towards the retarded monstronsity that is the AMF bowling center less than 2 miles down the street. *puke*

I completely agree! Met Donny and his wife yesterday, really nice folks... The GF and I spent about 6 hours in the joint yesterday, 5 gaming and 1 eating. The food is excellent, too, BTW. If you're anywhere close to the area, it's worth a Sunday afternoon drive!

I played Crystal Castles and Track & Field for the first times EVER...

There goes your street cred. :)

I wish they would open a place like that near me. No offense, AtariShaq! Are you still open in WVC? Throw up a list of your classics if you are running any still. I should swing by and support a brother.

And TAFan, got any pics? I love to see some classics in the wild.

Yeah, Blainbrook is the goods. Lots of classic vids and tons of pinball machines from all eras. It really is a hidden gem in the MN metro area.

Didn't really get any, will try to take some next time. Got one of my GF playing DK, but you can't really see any cabinets or anything... If I get a chance later, I'll try and post it.

In my experience, posting pics of your SO in this forum can be entertaining. Just look at Flynn54321 and his recent wife thread:

My gal playing Donkey Kong... FYI, although you can't tell from the pic, the cabinet to her left is a "Frogger", and the lineup to her right, starting closest to her, is "Mario Bros.", "Vs. Super Mario Bros.", and "Dig Dug". Just out of sight next to "DD" is a "Crystal Castles". The DK cab is a multi-game that included "Donkey Kong", "Donkey Kong Jr.", "Donkey Kong 3", "Galaxian", "Galaga", "Galaga 3", "Mr. Do!", "Mr. Do's Castle", and "Burger Time".
