I've been messin with the monitor settings and got mostly everything cleared up, thanks to the help of all the information here. The only thing I can't figure out is how to shift the screen to the right. Everything is oriented to the left side. After a bit of searching the forums, some have mentioned a jumper/wire that can be moved to correct this? I haven't found anything in the monitors manual about this. Can anyone shed some light?

Another question I have is regarding the H. Width coils gets very hot in the center. I actually damaged it after leaving an allen wrench in there, it got hot, then slipped out and laid against the plastic housing of the coil :( But again, is it normal for this to get hot?

Thanks,
Aaron

1) The shift jumpers are on the right between the adjustment pots and the flyback. Sometimes there is a small vertical board with a pot on it where the vertical shift jumpers would be.

2) yes, the center gets hot. that's why you should use a plastic adjustment tool instead of an allen wrench...

this yellow wire next to the flyback should help you out.there are two other pins it can plug into to move the picture.as far as horizonal with coil i dont think its suppose to get hot and you should never use a metal allen wrench on it, plastic tools only.

you beat me to the answer cause i went out to the garage to snap him a pic!! lol

Is there a tool that existed for adjusting such a coil like that? I have a plastic tool from the 80s lol, that was used for chokes etc. but it's more like a flat screwdriver and this coil was a hex type where an allen wrench fit perfectly. I didn't feel comfortable about putting metal anywhere into a live circuit.

GC Electronics # 8606 Hex Alignment Tool (approx. 5-1/2" long)

GC Electronics # 8606-L Hex Alignment Tool (same as above except 12" long)

Available from any GC Electronics or GC/Waldom distributor.

You all are awesome! Everything is looking great now! I just have to track down where the flicker of brightness comes from, and looks like green flickers to high lol. I'm gonna do a cap kit and re-flow all solder joints soon but everything looks to be on the righ track.
Thanks again to all who contributed!
