I have a 27" Wells Gardner that has an issue with the left and right sides curving inward even if the width is adjusted. I knew it needed to be re-capped. so I re-capped it last night and replaced the flyback and the problem was still there.

The monitor was originally from a Time Crisis II that I bought to replace a Neo Geo 27" Hitachi. I had to buy a new control board because the original was missing.

I spent a few hours googling for a solution but I haven't seen one. This chassis does not have a pincushion board. I haven't found any pics of it either.

Model: WGM2774 /27K7401
Chassis: WGM2574
Control Board: P790
Neck Board: P719-I *I had to leave 2 caps on there of the 8 during the recap.*

Note: The Crosshatch is after rec-cap/flyback. Cabinet pic is before.

why did you replace the flyback?

if you have a 27" chassis there should be an auxiliary board with 2 adjustment pots in the vicinity of the vertical IC heatsink. those are your pincushion adjustments.

if you don't have that board then you're essentially running a 25" K7400 on a 27" tube, and you will be stuck with pincushion problems.

I didn't want to have to worry about it later since I was doing the cap kit. I saved the old one for a spare.

It actually came like this from a Time Crisis 2 machine. The person I bought it from had 2 of them. I just went and looked at pics and neither of them had that board.

Updated the pics and description for reference.

What would I need to do to add the Pin Cushion board, or would I need to purchase another Chassis?

I put an order in for one earlier. I was looking for some documentation on it.

P777 pincushion adjustment board original pcb. For wells gardner k7400 / k7500 27"

I have a couple of them at work hidden in cabinets. it'll require some serious detective work. alternatively you can contact Chad www.arcadecup.com

FYI I got the pincushion board in but the amount of range that it adjusts is not enough to fix the curvature on one side. I literally turned it till it stopped on both controls.

It's only straight on one side of the image now. It is better than it was but not perfect.
