Guy wanted me to look at his cab's monitor problem. He has 25" k7000a in his cab. It works but the the pic is too big(vertical) and it has a weird wave along the top of the monitor(right side of the screen). Any ideas? I think its more than a cap kit to fix it. Never seen this problem before.. Worse case scenario I sould be able to toss a regualr wells k7000 chassis in there. Here are pics..

also the pots could be dirty and or broke check or clean/replace them to see if it stops the wave on the rite side.

I recapped it and changed the regulator last night. It also had a cracked vertical size pot.

Picture is good now, but the focus is a bit off..

glad it was just a broken pot.

if the focus is off that means the fly is possibly going.
check it with a rejuve to see if the tube is ok as those tubes are kinda shitty.

i would let it warm up at least 15 mins adjust it the best you can and call it a day.

if it works let it go till it dies then replace it no sense in scraping it just yet.
seeing how the fly's are not available.

you can always pull parts off it to save another after it dies.

rejuv says focus is ok. I also repositioned the focus wire in the neckboard and no difference. I assume all the moving of it when I recapped it must have made it a bit worse. I guess I could try a wells k7000 chassis in it, but I am not the motivated to use up one of my spare chassis..

Thanks guys for all the help..
