I got the monitor dead, all it was doing was clicking as it was tripping the watchdog circuit. So I replaced the HOT, still no go. Did a cap kit, found out the board was missing some caps in a couple of areas, but added them in nonetheless, fired it up and I heard the monitor almost starting up, it made that static fuzz noise but after a second or two it tripped the watchdog again. Came back to the board the next day after reading up on what to look for, tried reading the B+ with my positive lead from my multimeter on the B+ and touched just the metal surrounding the chassis with the negative and as soon as that happened the monitor flicked right on. Freak accident, or is it explainable?
