Just did a capkit and the image only improved a little.

What causes the image to look so bad?

Which brightness are you turning up? The one on the flyback or the one on the chassis? What happens if you turn the colors up?

Might need to rejuv...
 
I'm not seeing a brightness pot. I tried the flyback screen knob but it doesn't do the right kind of brightness.
Previous owner did mess with the black level pot so that is probably in need of adjustment.

I already tried tweaking the black level (aka brightness). Not much help, still washed out. May need to finally buy a rejuvenator.

front row pots left to right:
horiz centering (shift), vert size, vert hold, vert damp, (blue colored) vert pos.

back row 2 pots left to right:
horiz hold, blk level
