I have been running a Dell XPS PC in a cabinet I built probably close to 10 years ago. I put a brand new Wells Gardner D9200 in it at that time. It has worked flawlessy for all that time. I finally got around to updating the PC to an HP Z200 and now the monitor displays an out of range message and I can't get the cabinet to work with the newer PC. The original Dell XPS Gen 2 still works fine when I hook it back up but the more intensive emulators run slow or not at all.
I verified the old Dell is running at 600 x 800 res and 32 bit color. I verified the newer HP z200 is running at the same 600 X 800 and 32 bit color albeit on a different desk top monitor. If I hook up the HP Z200 to the cabinet with the Wells Gardner D9200 I get the out of range message.
I've tried connecting a number of different laptops and desktops to the cabinet but the only one that doesn't display the out of range message is the original Dell XPS gen 2 that I have been using for a long time. It's OK for some things but just too slow for like ps2 or dreamcast emulators. How can i get my HP Z200 to work with the Wells Gardner d9200 monitor? Would swapping out the video card from the dell to the HP work? I like the Wells Garder D9200 , it looks great.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
