Please forgive any ignorance as I'm still pretty new to this hobby...
Last night I decided to swap out the PCB in my Golden Tee Fore 2003 for a spare GT Fore 2005 that I had laying around. In my ignorance, I forgot to check the dip switches, and powered the board up with a different resolution setting that was on my original board.

When I powered the game on, I heard a repeating clicking noise that I assumed was coming from the PCB. I immediately powered it off, and thinking that the board was bad swapped back in my original PCB and HDD. After powering the old board back on, I discovered that it was the monitor making the clicking noise.

I've been reading horror stories about this monitor, but was hoping to get some insight into what I damage I could have possibly done to this monitor. Is it possible that I damaged the tube?

D9200 is a tri-sync monitor that does CGA/EGA/VGA.

What "bad" signal do you think you sent it?

It is unlikely you damaged the tube doing this.

The chassis (the monitor's PCB) is a different story and it may have been its time.

Several places repair this chassis. http://arcadecup.com/

I think you were right about it being the chassis time. The chassis started "clicking" after I powered on the board in medium res mode. From what I've read today, that monitor should have been fine.

On further inspection today, I discovered it was the large yellow transformer near the rear of the chassis that was doing the clicking. I happened to have a spare D9200 with a necked tube, so I swapped chassis and am back in business. I'll be sending this one off for repair, as it seems to be more than I want to tackle here at the house. Thanks!
