Hey, guys!

I picked up a racing cabinet this weekend that has a WGD9200 in it. It powers on, but when it runs, it has a reddish tint to it. I've asked around and gotten some feedback. When I get home tonight, I'll fiddle with the OSD menu sustem. Any one else have suggestions?

Ok, I was able to balance out the color using the OSD. However, the color is fairly dark. Brightness and contrast jacked up to 255 each. Cap kit candidate?

tips

I have seen Q203 be bad and cause more drive to the red
video amp transistor
If test good then check.

Your symptoms could be eprom
Might post a picture?

If your color over all and brightness and contrast
just all look bad..
Then you need Ic 102 the eprom

first read how to work with the Eprom
copy the data values then replace the chip.

theres is a remote chance that you can correct these symptoms
by just resetting the eprom..but you will still need to copy down
what they are so you can re-enter them back..

I find when the chip is corrupted its best to replace it them
re-enter you copy of data value back in for best picture..

I also have a list of a few caps that can be replace first
then test chassis again,,without replacing every cap in the
chassis, if you would like to do some kind of cap kit..

Here are the steps to understand the complex adjustments.
Good Luck!

Thanks, Ohmerone. I bought a cap kit from Bob Roberts, and a buddy of mine is going to cap it for me. I'll keep you updated.

if you want a brand new d9200 chassis I can make it happen.
you will have to send in your original board as the new one needs to be modified.
see my website if you're interested. thanks and good luck.
Chad.

I mentioned on 2-28 that my friend was going to do a cap kit for me. He's in Wyoming, I'm in AZ, so I had to mail it to him. He just finished it this weekend (it's a LOT of caps), so I should be getting it back by midweek. I'll know once I plug it in. If that doesn't fix it, I'll take arcadecrt up on his offer.

Issue is resolved.

Forum member Nephasth did my cap kit and got it back to me in great time. I put it in, went in to factory settings to do monitor adjustments, and now it looks great! Thanks Neph, Ohmerone, and everyone else who offered feedback and encouragement.
