Hello fellow arcade game restorer/player folks.

I'm having trouble finding a cap kit for my Wells Gardner 19K4901, I can't find it for sale anywhere. Does anyone know if I need to buy one for a series like 4900 series or something?

Any help would be awesome.

Ok cool, I emailed the guy since I couldn't find a way to order it.

Thanks for the response! :)

That's how you order.

He's a little old fashioned, but well worth it. He takes checks, and will cross ship, so as soon as you confirm your order, you best put your check in the mail, because he will put your order out.

+1 on getting the check out ASAP. My last order beat me to writing the check. Order was placed Monday evening, and my items arrived with Wednesday's mail. I hadn't even written the check yet :(

I apologized and paid up right away though. Got to stay in Alice's good graces...

Just got off work, that's interesting that Bob does that I'm sure he's a good friend to his friends.

Anyway I got his reply

1 K4900 cap kit - $5.00
USPS Priority - $7.00
Total - $12.00

Your check is fine or MO if you prefer, & you can send to:

Bob Roberts
1200 Fredericks St
Gretna, La 70053-3719

If you confirm with a shipping address I'll package & label ready to
ship on the day your payment arrives & notify you.

I'll make sure to send him a money order (I don't use checks) tomorrow since I gave him my address. I almost bought a K4900 cap kit on ebay, it was the same price with shipping. Bob's may be 50 cents more with the money order but no biggie. I'm glad to give him my business since he's help out many fellow guru arcade peeps it seems.

cab

Here's some pics of my cab before and after. I put my 19" Samsung monitor in it for personal use, but now I'm going to sell the cab so I'm restoring the arcade monitor so I can sell that with it. Shit they don't sell square flat screen monitors anymore that thing is rare lol, seems like all monitors are widescreen now.

Rush N Attack lol

Before as I got it, I put wheels on it before I unloaded it from my truck.

cab

I didn't see much of any signs of a previous game on this cab. Now that I think about it, this cab may be a rebuild since the control panel was really bad under the plexiglass it had holes all over it. Looks like it could have been a two player game in the past. I can upload a picture of it if you guys want.

I sanded it down to the wood and peeled off the stickers from the sides, the paint was only red there was no faded art underneath or anything.

I primed the wood and added the textured adhesive vinyl, new T molding, new marquee light, computer speakers, P4 PC.

Oh wow yeah you guys are right about that for sure.

I know the guy I got if from would buy rebuild kits for arcade cabinets, after looking at pictures of Tut cabs I know now that my cab was originally a Tutankham. Honestly I have never played that game although it looks like more fun than Rush n Attack.

The coin doors and body of the cabinets are identical. Both built in July 1982, my month and year DOB crazy.

Wow, I would have expected you'd be flamed to the ground by now, what's up have people grown soft here lately ?

Sorry but, you seem to be new and this is not the best forum to show of a converted classic with an LCD screen and a general control panel hacked in there....

Hmm well, the 19" LCD is what I had when I bought the cab so it fit perfect for the time being. Also I started this thread so I could get the old 19" arcade monitor in working shape so I can actually use it.

Right now the cab is just in a temporary MAME playable state so I can play the good ol games and drink beer with my friends on it. BTW I put some beer holders on the sides last night and played some Tut :)

Flame on if you must lol it's your opinion sheeit.
