So I have a game that's been running a K7611, AKA a Zenith made 7xxxA. It's the one with the oddball flyback and 2 anode wires. It's been running fine for years but as with all 7xxx series monitors the original flyback worries me a bit. It has s plastic cover over the flyback and from what I can tell it looks physically fine. But since it's a rare duck my question is are these known to be more robust or just as prone to failure as the standard K7xxx flyback?

I've been toying with the idea of swapping it with a working K7203 I have. Also an original flyback and also looks and works fine. Is it worth swapping? Just looking for opinions to push me one way or another.

They are both 8 pin skinny necks, if that helps. And I assume the same tube can be used for either one?

I've seen quite a few k7000a chassis's. The fly backs don't seem to fail. The only fly related issue ive heard of was the anode wire cracking and arching. They also produce a very nice picture after being re capped and they don't bloom like the regular k7000 chassis does. I say keep it till it dies, what do you have to lose? From what I've seen, it a better built chassis than the normal k7000.
