I bought a NOS wgt1930-m1t514e arcade monitor new in box a while back to replace a VGA monitor ( i dislike the non-textured look) that came in my custom cocktail table. I'm running a Icade 60-1 in the cocktail table.
This morning i opened the box for the first time and noticed that the Orion tube had a manufacturing date of 1988. I assume the chassis was manufactured around the same time. Should I be worried about any of the capacitors being dried out? The board looks mint with no dust.
Also the new JAMMA harness i bought has a 6-pin connector but this monitor has a 9-pin port.
Should I clip 6-pin connector off and solder the wires directly to the pins to get it to work? What method would you use?
The 9-pin port has an extra ground and two negative horiz/verti. sync pins. What are these for? Do i need these for the monitor to work?
Thanks for any info.
