I bought a NOS wgt1930-m1t514e arcade monitor new in box a while back to replace a VGA monitor ( i dislike the non-textured look) that came in my custom cocktail table. I'm running a Icade 60-1 in the cocktail table.

This morning i opened the box for the first time and noticed that the Orion tube had a manufacturing date of 1988. I assume the chassis was manufactured around the same time. Should I be worried about any of the capacitors being dried out? The board looks mint with no dust.

Also the new JAMMA harness i bought has a 6-pin connector but this monitor has a 9-pin port.
Should I clip 6-pin connector off and solder the wires directly to the pins to get it to work? What method would you use?

The 9-pin port has an extra ground and two negative horiz/verti. sync pins. What are these for? Do i need these for the monitor to work?

Thanks for any info.

I believe capacitors have a shelf life of 10years. If the chassis is out already why not. You say JAMMA harness has 6-pin connector, do you mean video input connector on chassis?
If so I guess it's R,G,B,Ground,Pos. Horiz/Verti sync,Ground,Neg Horiz/Verti sync. If so most games use neg sync, your 60 in 1 should use the neg Horizontal sync.

thanks , i was worried which sync should be used positive or negative and whether i should combine ver.sync & horiz. sync into one feed line loop.

now to see what the monitor looks like.
