I have a wells gardner 054a7200-009 (1972hogs 66h) 19'' monitor That I replaced the hot on and checked all solder for cold solder joints. I have a nice 121 vac going in but no power out (no pix) .

I also have a wells 054a7613-004 19'' Play Choice that I put in a new hot / vreg and new cap kit. Very clean, reflowed the cold joints and the flyback. Checked and double checked for solder splashes. 124 vac going in but again no picture. I am relatively new to the monitors scene and have scoured the stickys and other google searches.

What else am I missing (I read about a certain rectangular cap that goes bad?)
Thanks for your help in advance!

I forgot to mention the fuses are good!

Has your flyback packed it in I have tons of monitors fail the flyback after cleaning
up the input they get lazy and used to drawing high current (over heated boards)
also watch your solider points under the flyback if there to large I have had them
cross over the high voltage undoing what you have done

do you have power to the guns?
Can you see any light?

No light at all on the 1972 monitor.
A slight and quick static sound on the 7613 chassi, no light. but again no picture on either one.

Measure the B+ and report back. Also determine if you have a 7201 or 7203, as they are different...

just another suggestion, try turning the Screen pot on the flyback all the way down and power up again.

I don't know how to test B+ on these, but if your monitor turns on again after turning the Screen down then the B+ is probably running too high and throwing it into HV shutdown.
