I hope I did not damage this wells gardner 7613 19'' monitor from a playchoice. I put a new cap kit in and I do think when I hooked it back up, the control board was connected backwards. Smoke billowed from the small rectangular box on the under side of the yoke. I corrected it, but now all I get is a quick start of the high voltage (shut down). I tested the hot and seems good, but will replace anyway. Did I damage the yoke?

I meant measure the yoke. Turn the power off, unplug the yoke, then do resistance measurements of the horizontal (between red and blue) and vertical (between green and yellow) yokes....

Thanks , I will check into this.

I did forget to ask you what those 2 values should be.
Thanks!

Don't recall offhand, but I'll know if what you get is way off. If you get no reading, then the yoke is most likely blown...
