I have a Wells 4600 that powers on , has neck glow and when I turn it on and off I can see the flash on screen , so it acts like everything should be working but the game never comes on screen . I noticed these two jumpers unplugged , I looked in the manual and saw the red wire goes on the far right pin and yellow wire on the 3rd pin (starting from left 1234) . Its not a board problem as I used Dokerts monitor test cables to run the board (Defender) in the cab next to it and it plays fine on another monitor .

Soooooo does it sound like a cap kit is in order ? Are there any other parts to replace ? Thanks .

Chances are the "black level" (brightness) control trimpot has gone bad or is out of adjustment. It is located on the video interface board.

Yup what Ken said. Prob a bad POT but it could these chassis could use a cap kit if they are still all original caps. And change out the black level pot too while you're doing the daughter cards. bob roberts has them.

Yep it is the black level pot like you guys said . I was messing with it then suddenly , bam , the picture came back perfect ! The pot needs to be replaced because the picture will turn back off again after awhile . Thanks for the help !!
