wells 25k7131 chassis help and rehooking to monitor

explanation

i apologize for the lack of info...i was pulling my hair out last night and just had it with this monitor.

the chassis i bought was from shardian who tested it himself and installed a new pot where the old one broke off.

"nothing" meant that the situation remains the same as it has since my last post. black screen, but when turned off a white rectangle appears and shrinks. you can hear the monitor turn on, a small amount of glow in the glass portion of the back of the tube, but no picture. i believe there is high voltage static...didnt pay particular attention to that since i heard the monitor turn on and something does come up on the screen when i let go of the safety door switch to turn it off.

i posted a pic of the hack i did...soldered the wires directly to the pins since i got impatient and didnt have the harness i wanted.

uh, dude

when you turn the brightness OR screen up, you should at least see something on the screen. like a grey box.

something's wrong with your video signal still. your monitor sounds like it's working.

welcome to nba jam!

just played with every pot and flyback knob i could. i got it working...needs some tweaking still but the video signal seems good! i was just playing as the bulls with horace grant and his rec specs...awesome! thanks for the help...and of course the patience. monitors are greek to me, but i am willing to learn. i apologize if i couldnt quite understand at first, but im getting the hang of things slowly.

if i run into this scenario again, is there a list of chassis that wont work with certain tubes?
