I have a Wells 2575 (P793 board) that came out of a Cruis'n game with collapse, a horizontal line across the middle of the monitor. Before I recap the whole thing I'd like to get it functional. Anyone have any ideas where to look first? I haven't been able to find a flowchart.....

Check U601 for shorts, then check D302 for a short and R402 for an open. And maybe recap all the 600's.

Oh, and check that none of the vertical pots on the remote are broken...

R402 as open, D302 was OK. Powered board back up and R402 started to smoke. I think U601 may be toast.

Fixed!!!

After finding and replacing R402 only to watch it smoke again, I found R303 off by a mile. Changed R402 again, R303 and replaced U601. D302 checked OK out of circuit. Couldn't adjust width, found Q710 with broken leg. (not to mention plugged in backwards... can't adjust width that way either)

Working fine now. Thanks Mod!!
