Wells 25" - bright strip on right side - ok or no?

Hi All - Seeing this when I put a TMNT board in my Simpsons cab - any ideas? am I driving levels too high? not having this issue with the Simpsons PCB (pic of that also attached)

Just want to make sure I'm not creating a burn issue. Any adj I should make?

Thanks!

I think the image might be folding around, sometimes it will do that if the horizontal position knob needs tweaked. Try moving the image to the left slightly and see if it kind of 'rolls' back around flat.

thx - tried it with my sunset riders pcb which had the same problem - adjusting the monitor "unfolded" the image. looks great. TMNT though can only unfold while losing a good chunk of the screen the other way. maybe something board/voltage specific?

it may time for a cap kit on it if that is your results.

C38 needs to be replaced. they're 100 years old, and as they go out of tolerance, it's not able to hold the width tighter anymore. that's why this has become a thing on K7000s probably the last 5-10 years. (depending on use)

security or Buffett should have an assortment of values for that cap, you should be able to get by with the same one and fix the foldover, as it will be new.

I am not a proponent for adjusting width coils because they get hot and undoubtedly whenever you go to adjust them after never being adjusted before, they break. strangely that was never suggested.

yes i have a kit with a ton of different values on the site, but i also have the original value of C38 listed individually if you want just that.

Thanks so much! I'll order a new C38 and put it on my todo to replace. Agree about staying away from the coil if i can - and don't want to create any new issues. the original game's PCB works fine just TMNT the board is off...
