As of this Saturday we finished up our sale, A week ahead of schedule!!
It was a fun ride, We made several new friends and met a bunch of KLOVers along the way.
Everything went smooth as silk and there was only one potential fight, but it was only due to a perpetually drunken lowballer's arrogance (silliness).
I am happy to say that our original goal was met, All parties involved were happy with their deals (including us) and our deadline was met thanks mostly to our fellow KLOV bros.

It was a lot of hard work, planning, organizing, communicating, pricing, testing, troubleshooting, etc... If we had to do it all over again I don't think we'd change a thing.
Everyone we dealt with was awesome and gracious, we couldn't have asked for more. So without further rambling, here's our thank you list followed by a few before and after pics.
The last pic is of the Fresno arcade sale MVP Larry Nuno (El Nuno).
This dude was there practically every day we opened the doors and was more than willing to help out anybody with anything. Thanks Dude, we owe you big time!!

These pics were actually taken after we organized and rearranged the games. It literally only represents about half of the games we actually had.

You efforts should be applauded! I followed your thread and it seems as if you have accomplished the impossible!
ALOT of cabs found new homes where they will be safe from harms way and hopefully be around for future generations to enjoy.
Thanks for your hard work, did you keep anything for yourself?

Dude, love the before and after pics.

Thanks again for your time, help and generosity. It was a pleasure hanging with you guys. We need to get together again, play some games and BBQ. :)

Jim- to answer your question yes, pins. We were fortunate early on to have the help of Wade Krause who is a major player in the pinball scene. He makes repro playfields and all other sorts of awesomeness. His website is www.pinballplayfield.com .
He and Tanio are responsible for the custom built Metallica pinball machine discussed in this link. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/...ehind-the-scenes-on-a-custom-pinball-game.ars
Wade was instumental in us moving so many pins, we hooked up with Jeri and many other big time pinheads through him. He was awesome enough to help us diagnose pins, let us borrow his friends panel truck with a lift gate, and in a few cases he went with us to pick pins up on location. Thanks to him we had sold 80% of the pins before we even had a full list of games.

Sgtsmackaho, thanks for the kind words it's good to hear people appreciate our efforts.
And as far as which games we got out of the deal. Well, we may be starting a totally new thread just for that.

Jess, yes dude, it was awesome to see you guys again and we should get together and BBQ for sure. Johnnie still owes us burritos anyway, I'm still waiting for one in the mail, ha ha.

I still owe you guys Chipotle burritos.
We can do it at CAX11 when I bring Gumball Pinball.

I'm still sifting through the stack of PCBs.
Almost all were CPS1 SF2 variants.

Yeah, what Greg said. Everyone (except for drunk dude who threatened to kick me in the nuts) was simply awesome during this entire experience. I'll post more stuff later but I have to give out big-time ups to Greg for being a fantastic partner (of course in the business sense). There's no way possible I would have been able to do this myself.

Likewise dude! I totally forgot to thank you.
Thanks for everything man!

Cool! Nice before/after pics. I'd like to thank Paul and Greg (and Larry) for taking on the challenge of all this, and letting they're fellower klov'ers have a shot at some nice cabs for great prices, even though I only ended up buying only one...:D I'm just not a Jamma guy. Great job guys, now you need to take some time off!

Good Times

Im glad Paul and Greg asked me to give them a hand and hang out. I was fully compensated with some good deals, dinner and some Ice cold ones. There were a few late night witching hour moments... lol. Paul and Greg are two classy stand up dudes and Its always cool meeting new people who share the same hobby, and preserving classic arcade games.

Cool! :) You guys are the shit. It was worth getting that truck running and driving the 6 hours...twice.

Drunken fight? You can't cock tease drama on KLOV and not deliver. ;)

Also thanks to Nuno for helping me load the PP. I backed my truck up, got out and he already had it on a handtruck ready to go. :)

Ha, I'll let Paul tell the drunken fight story. It was just funny if you ask me. More like entertainment for the day and something to talk about afterward.

O.k., drunk dude story. So there's this dude named Schuyler who e-mails us about the games via Craigslist and shows up drunk/hung over on a Saturday. He's kind of a fun drunk but annoying at the same time. There's also two of his buddies with him and he brings a lot of cash and buys some cabs. He's 25 years old and I have about 5 inches and 25 lbs on him. He comes two more Saturdays and is drinking each time but buying a bunch of crap. Like I said, he's kinda fun and one time even asked how much I would cost to bring me home and if I cooked.

He really wants this one game that's already reserved and keeps bugging us about it every time he shows up. Well, on our last day of selling the game becomes available and I tell him a price for both an MK3 he reserved and this other game. Because he's buzzed he's trying to haggle me but thinks he's only bidding on the new game not both of them combined. He walks away. Meanwhile a different dude comes in and offers more money and I say o.k.

Naturally, he becomes pissed but alternating between angry and nice (like asking me for gum and thanking me). He says he wants to kick me in the nuts, throw a cinder block at me, and punch my face. I figure he's harmless but still on guard. I've never been in a fight in my entire adult life but if he made a move something would have to happen.

As the evening wears on (he hasn't loaded his game yet, which is at a different location) I'm thinking this dude is never gonna leave. I just want him to pay for his MK3 and get out. We eventually make it to the house to load his game and I help him do so. When he was about to leave he gave me a big hug, called me a few more names, and then said he loved me.

I actually felt bad all weekend because of the miscommunication but it was his fault he was drinking. All the while, Jess and Johnny are trying to load their games and most likely are looking on with both confusion and wonderment.

I didn't plan on writing that much. There are other good stories from our selling experience as well. Craigslist -- gotta love it.

Don't even sweat it Paul. We knew what was going on and we were ready to support if anything went down. Not by means of fighting but helping to diffuse the situation and avoid any possible injuries. But I had the same feeling as you in that he was harmless and just not functioning properly obviously. We're just bummed we couldn't grab dinner with you guys. I can't wait to see your threads on the pins you guys picked up so I can drool away. :)

Here are some more before the madness pics of the warehouse. When we first took on the job we had to turn sideways just to walk around the games. And as you can see the games were absolutely filthy with stuff piled upon stuff. I still can't believe we sold everything in two months time.

More pics of the warehouse. Sadly, I guess Greg or I didn't take any wide-shot pictures of the house where games were also filthy and located on the outside patio.

Greg/Paul

Ya guys are very welcomed!. Im glad I had chance to meet you guys. Yes you guys did good job!!!!

P.S. I still wait for that missing board =(

Cya later

Paul, don't feel bad. That was all on him. He was obviously out of his mind.

He looked at me a couple of times like he wanted to make something too. He saw the big name games I was loading and I though he might try to highjack me once we took off.

He was only scary in that he was totally drunk.
