Monitor Well Gardner 25k7401

No neck glow, clicking noise coming from HV transformer (where
flyback) connects. I can not check the voltage coming from the HV
because my meter does not read that high.

I think HV transformer is the only issue. This monitor was built in 2002

Any Ideas about this one ?

Thanks

god help you lol i just got done fixing one..

theres 3 yes 3 updates out htere for this pig.. all the kits will run you around a huindred bucks..

i suspect a blown hot. If after you replace the hot you have pincushion issues then check the other transostors on the same metal piece as the hot.

if you search my posts you will find the post about my 7400.. was a nightmare but finally fixed the damn thing.

Doesn't necessarily have to be a blown HOT. These chassis are notorious for being really sensitive to B+. It'll also make that sound if it's "grumpy".

i need to stop posting here when im so tired lol. last nightmare was a simular u5000, not a 7400.. just ignore my ramblings lol

ahoy, you had me confused there. I thought the entire premise of the 7400 and 7500 was to be like bug-fixed U5000s for specific resolutions. lol

I just had something totally different happen with a 7500 today, but try turning the Screen pot on the flyback down and see if it powers up then. I've heard a few times to try that, then you can see what the next step is.
