So I FINALLY got my second Pinbot's displays working. Now onto the next issue. There are several switches that arent recognized:

Vortex exit
Right Bank Orange
10pt at the bumper exit
Advance Planet
Right flipper lane change (Flipper works, but cannot move "Extra Ball" or scroll through initials)

Strange enough they are all on the right side, yet in seemingly no relation to each other according to the matrix. I have checked the diodes on the switches with my DMM and they appear to be OK, and I have cleaned the switches extensively. I have bridged the pins on the driver board following the switch matrix, and the targets are recognized, so the driver board is functional.

I am stumped...and frustrated...

Have you checked continuity of the switch wiring from the switch to the board ? You could have broken wires or poor solder joints along the way.

Right Flipper lane change - if that is an opto coupler on a board, I'd suspect that.

LTG :)

All the above switches except Vortex Exit are on the same row 3 (WHT/ORANGE wire) in your switch Matrix. The only other 2 switches on that row are the Credit Button and the Lower Left Drop Target. Do those 2 switches work?

Yes, the credit button works, as do all the drop targets. That's whats got me confused.

Im no pro, just trying to help.

IIRC

The credit button is the first switch on that row, so it still may work.

The drop target can still fall, doesnt mean its activating the switch, though. You probabbly already verified that the switch is registering.

p bot

if you jumped the pins at the boards, and it works, then its a wiring issue on the field, likey broken ground loop some where
