Here is a picture of what is going on with my K7502 monitor. It is some sort of foldover and is too wide. I have capped it and the colors look great when not in this diagnostic screen.

Has anyone seen something like this? I have tested D707 and D708 and they appear to be good. I have changed out remote boards and reflowed/fixed a lot of traces.

Yes, that is a line going down the right side.

What else should I be looking for?

Thanks,

Torin

make sure you didn't plug the 3 pin connector to the stupid remote mounted transistor backwards.

Yeah, I've tried it both ways with no change. The width pot on the remote board does nothing and I have changed it out.

So, I'm pretty confused with this monitor. This is in a Golden Tee and is a K7502 which is marked on the chassis. However, on the Golden Tee settings, I have to set it to Low Resolution for it to get any sort of picture whatsoever and that is the picture you see in the original post.
If I set the dip switch to "Off" for Medium Resolution, I can only get a triple picture.

I thought the K7502 was a medium resolution monitor? Why can I only get a decent stable picture with that overlapping issue from the low resolution setting?

The tube is a Hitachi 27"

What is going on here?

I think I have it figured out. The way the Golden Tee 2004 manual reads is either really confusing or incorrect. I decided to try it with all four dip switches in the off position and what do you know, it syncs and looks pretty good.

However, the manual says the default is off for dip switch 1 and on for 2-4 with a medium res monitor. It would not lock in this way and gave me that messed up picture in the photo. Looks like mine only works when 1 and 2 are off, which is not what the manual reads. With switches 3 and 4, it doesn't seem to matter because it works either way with those.

So, pain in the ass but it looks fixed. I will really be able to tell when my new hard drive comes in this week and hopefully get it back on location.
