Weird issue. Seems simple....

I have a Phillips 19" tube with a K7000 chassis that is showing the wrong colors as if the tube needed to be degaussed. I've already switched the chassis with another working one, and the problem persists. I connected my BK 490 rejuvenator and the guns look good with no short. The wiring looks good, but I'll look at it again tonight. I also used my degausser with no success. Also, switched gameboards...still no luck.

I've attached 2 pictures. One shows my issue. The other shows the correct colors which is what I'm trying to get.

Thanks

Have you tried degaussing it? Other than that, just looks like your tube is old. The colors are all correct, they're just weak in the middle of the screen.

i would give it a through degaussing and center all the pots on the neck board and readjust from there.

Yes, I've degaussed it a few times.

I'll do it again tonight. The interesting thing now that I look at the picture again, is that the 1st 1/4 of the screen on the right side starts off with the correct colors (Blue & Red). It then changes to what looks like purple and light red.......

another possible thing is that you have a piece of metal or small magnet lodged in/under the yoke.

or if there is a strip that broke off and the metal tab is floating under the yoke.

or your frame is to blame. it may be magnetized by something.
you may change frames to see if it changes.

I'll check for that. Thanks for the feedback

Is it just me, or am I the only one who sees nothing wrong here?

If you're worried about the red 'The Revenge' lettering, I don't know if that's a monitor issue. It's likely a PCB issue. My Technos board (Double Dragon) puts out a pretty crappy image too, no matter WHAT monitor I attach to it.

Is this the original tube that came with the monitor, or did you do a tube swap? I can tell you that I've stumbled across a few tubes in my day that SHOULD have been compatible with the chassis/yoke I wanted to use, but for some reason didn't produce a very good picture.

Thanks

Problem solved. Strangely enough, it was the wiring. I say strangely because everything looks connected correctly. I have 2 machines wired identically and yet one had this issue.

Go figure.........
