My right flipper on my FP was weak to where I couldn't make the top lock. I checked the 28vdc on all three flipper coil lugs, rebuilt the flippers, new eos switch and filed the cabinet switch and still weak. The flipper was very strong when I grounded out the coil so I attached an alligator clip to the coil and the other end to the switch. Flipper was way stronger so I thought it had to be the 2 connectors in the head where the wire passes through to the cabinet switch. By passed those connectors and no dice. Finally just re-wired a new 18 gauge wire and that did the trick. As a test I re-soldered the original wire to the coil and to the cabinet switch and it was still weak. Wire looked fine, did Williams use too thin of a wire? I did this to my other flipper and it made it stronger also. Seems weird that I haven't heard of this problem in all the guides I've read.

with all the vibration those wires degrade just like everything else on there, probably had some wires broke inside the insulation that wasnt making good enough contact to pass strong continous voltage. I recently had the same problem with a display not working due to a wire that checked good, but wouldnt work until a jumper wire was put in its place
