Does anyone out there have a Wei-ya chassis on a K7000 monitor? What are your impressions of it? Does it look as good as the K7000 chassis did on the monitor?

I cant seem to find a working K7000 chassis to swap into my K7000 monitor and the idea of a brand new (not 20yrs old) chassis for my monitor for about the same price as the old used K7000 chassis sounds enticing to me.

I've done it. Picture looked okay. Wasn't perfect. I had to adjust it a bunch to get it good.

I'd rather rebuild the K7000 and use that one if possible...

Are you missing your chassis? 25 or 19?

25". Had a zenith chassis and the flyback went out on it. Seems there are alot of people in the WTB section asking for K7000 chassis but not alot of answers. The apparent limited availability (or maybe just no one looking to sell enters the WTB section? lol ) was one of the factors making me think of the wei-ya.

My goal is to get the dang monitor working, whether thats a non-zenith chassis or a wei-ya. (not putting another non-repairable zenith chassis in there... )

Someday when I have more time I'll fix some of the extra K7000's I have and sell them. But I have a lot of stuff that's just waiting for me to "have more time"...

"video1963" used to have an Earthlink website that showed step-by-step photos of how to install a Wei-ya chassis on the major old school monitors like the G07, K7000, K4900. He sold chassis on ebay and set up that website to show people how to install them. It was a good website, then all of a sudden he disappeared. It was called Arcade Parts & Solutions since he also sold power supplies, joysticks, coin mechs, and buttons. His site showed the final installation too on a K7000 with a beautiful picture of a Ms. Pacman game in progress on it.

Here is the old link:

Perhaps it got saved on the Wayback Machine?

i did a conversion on a wg k70oo once.

It worked, but the pic was never quite "perfect"

ill see if i can dig up a pic of what im talking about..

ignore the pixellation the pic was good other than one thing..

On the right side of the screen, there were lines through the pic that did not adjust out.

so if your cheap like me, itll work just fine. If you want a super nice pic, you better opt for a true k7000 chassis over an asian one like a weiya

I have a cab with a Wei Ya chassis in it. The picture looks fine. I do think the K7000 chassis image tends to look more vibrant. I don't know, it could be me settings or something. Most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

I shot this video of SF3 running on the monitor with the Wei Ya chassis, what do you think?

Dang, just saw Cadi's picture. I haven't had one look like that yet.

Looks good to me and would be perfectly acceptable to me.

Cadi, did you contact Wei-ya? If so what did they tell you? Pictures like that scare me because thats fully unacceptable to me.

His problem was because of the board he put with it, not the chassis. The 60-in-1 does that on the main screen for other chassis models, too, (like the K4900), but the actual game screens look okay...
