I am trying to get a tv tube swap to work, however Im having issues getting it to sync. Its for a Missile Command, I can see the graphics but they keep rolling. The only problem that I know for sure is that the neckboard is really loose, I can still see 1/8" of the pins and if I bump the neckboard it will wiggle loose. Im not sure if that could cause my sync issues or not. I have read that hot glue might be a good fix for the loose neckboard.

Did I guess correctly that BOTH the Horiz & Vert sync wires from the pcb harness should be connected to the white wire (Sync) on the chassis?

It seems like I have tried all the adjustments possible, horiz, vert hold, vert line, and Im guessing that the white pot in the far back center of the chassis has something to do with the sync as well.

any thoughts? Has anyone ever had to return a chassis to alva, even with the power cord cut off?

I was told by a klover that the loose neckboard would not affect the sync issues im having.

Does anyone know if I should connect BOTH the horiz and vert sync wires from the missile command pcb harness to the white wire (Sync) on the wei ya chassis? ( I have tried both, only the vert, only the horiz it doesnt seem to make a huge difference either way..)
I cant get the image to stop rolling or get it centered, image appears really soft, doesnt look very sharp or focused either.
Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

The Wei-ya and all other brands of replacement chassis only accept composite negative sync. Positive sync will not work.

Thanks for your response, but I guess I still don't know enough about monitors to know what you meant. Does it mean missile command will not work with this donor tv & universal chassis set up? Or was it a matter of hooking up the wrong sync wires to the chassis, the MC pinout shows it has a horiz sync & a vert sync, was I supposed to hook both to white sync wire on chassis? I have been searching forums for days to try to find this info and havent had any luck. I appreciate your help!

It's been at least 20 years since the last time I worked on a Missile Command. i don't remember if it generated positive sync or negative sync.
