Wei Ya 2620HR chassis with Euro power plug - can I use US 120V?
Complete electrical noob here, I usually know just enough about electrical work to get myself in trouble. Trying to avert disaster by actually asking a question *before* letting the smoke out.
I have a new Wei Ya 2620HR chassis w/ a new LG tube. The chassis is marked as accepting 90-260V input, both on the chassis and the spec table at http://www.weiya.com.tw/products_detail.asp?le=english&fid=30&pid=208&tCatName=CRT CHASSIS
It has a European plug on the power line - I'll be dropping this into a US Ms. Pac machine, with the original isolation transformer. Am I right in assuming that since it'll accept 120 that I can just clip that Euro plug off and wire the two AC leads to the monitor power connector on the original Ms Pac harness, and clip the ground wire from that harness onto the monitor frame like with the cab's original monitor, with nothing else needed? And my monitor and house won't blow to bits?
Many thanks in advance.
