So I'm at work on friday killing time when I see a free machine pop up on CL about 15 miles away at about 10:45 am. I tell my boss I'm gonna take lunch early and I go to pick it up. This woman was having a yard sale and had all kinds of stuff laid out, including an old Vanguard machine. Unfortunately, despite her add saying "I think it works minus the monitor" it was pretty stripped. Woody Cab w/o back but nice art, no board, original harness was cut, new jamma harness hanging, marquee is flaking, control panel is rough, but the coin door and bezel didn't look bad. I decided to have a look around and I recognized an edge connector style board sitting in a pile. She said she didn't think it was an arcade board, but I saw SNK stamped on it. I said I'd give her $5 for that board and the piece of glass sitting next to it (Galaxian cocktail glass with some flaking paint). When I got home, I started having a look at the board and saw VG on all the roms. I had high hopes when I saw that SNK produced Vanguard then sold it off to Centruri. After a quick look on Krazy Kong's board pics, I walked away with a Vanguard cab and board (untested) in rough shape in need of a power supply, monitor, and re-wiring and a Galaxian cocktail glass for $5.

I didn't really want the woody cab all that much, so I stripped it completely and just sold it to a MAME'r for $25.

Hooray! Now anyone looking for Galaxian cocktail glass or Vanguard parts?

The art on this isn't in good shape so I don't want you to get your hopes up. This would probably need the repro underlay, but I'll get a pic up tomorrow morning.

Damn, you're right, thanks for posting a picture. I was hoping it would only have a little degradation I could attempt to repaint but I think I'll stick with the repro for now. Thanks again anyway.
