This one, other than the shear exhaustion that ensued, went pretty smoothly. I found it in a CL ad for $1250 a couple days ago. On Friday around noon, my wife and a buddy left Phoenix headed for Los Angeles. My wife and I are from there, and she wanted to suprise her family with a visit. We got there around 7pm, dropped my wife off, and went to pick up the machine. Turned out the guy I was buying from couldn't have been more than 16, and appeared to be the Doogie Howser of pinball. He had an interesting assortment of pinball machines in his garage: Baywatch, Batman Forever, Tales From the Crypt, Congo, Whodunnit?, Demolition Man, The Shadow, an additional Jurassic Park, and a Tommy Pinball Wizard. He even gave me about 6 boxes of spare bulbs. I didnt haggle with him at all, I felt the price for the shape the machine was in was more than fair. We headed back around 9pm and got back to Phoenix around 3am. In no condition to haul it upstairs, we just put it in the garage and moved it up yesterday afternoon. Here's a picture of the playfield from the CL ad, you could seriously eat off this thing.
