So, last night I found a local Craigslist ad for a couple of machines that I thought were probably gone already. I decided to send the seller a text & email anyway.

This morning I heard back from him that they were still there so I got everything together and headed out.

I brought home, a nice condition Ice Cold Beer and an Asteroids Deluxe Mini.

Both "weren't" working. While at the Seller's house we plugged in the Mini and I saw neck glow on the monitor which was good enough for me.

I got them home and after warming up some, I decided to pop open the AD Mini and give 'er a looks over. I noticed the edge connector wasn't connected at all. So I plugged in the edge connector and plugged her in. Everything lit up except for the game board. The red light on the game board wasn't lighting up at all. I pulled the edge connector and noticed that a couple leads on the board's edge connector were pretty raw. My guess was that that was the problem so I attempted to finagle the edge connector a bit to see if I could make contact.

My results were:

I had to reconnect a button and the Control panel wire harness. Then I was off to playing my first game of AD.

As for the Ice Cold Beer, it has a broken belt. Also the rod (thing the ball rests on) is leaning upward behind the bezzle. When we plugged it in at the Seller's place the lights came on and you could hear a motor in the bottom of the machine running constantly but that's it. I'm not familiar with the machine but hopefully it will not take much to get it going.

I'll update with more pictures soon.

That's normal for the bar to be tilting one direction. I would imagine that replacing the belts will yield you a working game. I've restored one already and am working on my 2nd one now.

www.chompingquarters.com will get you the ICB artwork.
www.twistywristarcade.com will get you a bunch of the parts you might need. Advised to replace the belts and motors.

Username spacebaby on here produces excellent wood bases for most games. I have a couple of his ICB bases, excellent work!

Congrats on the nice pickups!

Thanks guys!

I'm happy with the pickup. Plus I gained another connection because of it. The guy restores pinball machines and plans to give me a holler whenever he gets in an arcade machine. Atm he's sitting on a very nice Joust cocktail if anyone is interested (he wants too much for me to be interested). He also said he's got several Ms Pac uprights, a couple Ms Pac cocktails, and a Pacman cocktail available. They're in various conditions and were at his storage unit so I didn't get to see them.

Well by leaning, I meant the metal bar is sitting almost completely vertical. It appears to be attached at the right side but not at the left. What's funny is I was just looking at the video for ICB linked on the VAPs page last night before I saw the ad. I was thinking, "That's kind of cool. I wouldn't mind having one for my game room." Then...the very next day I got one.
