Weekend Pick-up

Okay, I'm realizing more and more that I *DO* have grail games, and Sinistar is one of them!

Great cab, amazing shape -- someone took really good care of that one!

Sinistar - All I remember from that game is

"RUN HUMAN! ARRRRRRRRRRRR!"

Except 10 times louder than that.

Damn! Congrats Kent! Did that show up on our Craigslist list? Hmm... if it did I don't know how I missed it lol.

All I picked up this past weekend was:

- A Food Fight converted to a single slot Neo Geo with a bad pot causing monitor issues (not sure I can save this one as the a-hole that converted it appears to have stripped the sideart before painting it black :()

- A Roadblasters board on metal plate
- A Mylar Roadblasters Marquee
- A nice populated Roadblasters control panel
- The Gas pedal from the Roadblasters machine (I assume)
- The sound board from the Roadblasters
- A Tutenkham board
- Original Manuals and Schematics for Roadblasters and Tutenkham

I got everything for just over $225 (hope I didn't overpay). I was sad after the guy told me "both the Tutenkham and Roadblasters boards worked before I pulled them from their cabs!" God damn Maimers!

Also guess where I picked all of this stuff up at? A freakin Mega-church! Luckily my intentions were noble so I didn't fear any lightning...

Well the Roadblasters stuff will certainly be spares (as Roadblasters is the most common system 1 cabinet).

Pricewise you did fine. A working neo geo board with a low end fighting cart by itself is $100. I can fix the monitor for you, I have been on a roll with them lately.

No. I picked this up in Iowa. Just south of Ottumwa.

sounds like a decent pick to me ... I'm certain you can recoup your costs by selling the parts individually ...

Ahh.. Iowa? No wonder I didn't see it ;).

Yeah, I think I'll throw the Food Fight into Storage or keep it as a Neo Geo for a bit. I think I may try to restore it. I'd love to have it in my collection. Although the only part that really concerns me is putting on the side art. I have 0 experience with sideart and installing full sideart on the uniquely-shaped cabinet, that is Food Fight, just scares me lol.

Tbbk and I still need to meet up with you to check out your arcade some time! At the moment I'm bogged down with a 170+ feet of trench for the buried downspouts on my new house.
