I added one more lighting effect to The Lost Highway Arcade tonite. I like sharing these little details with everyone here, even if they are small and don't take much time.

This particular telephone/utility pole is the only one of the four in my arcade that has colored glass insulators. The others have porcelein ones. I wanted them to light up in a creepy/weird way, so I mounted an LED used for lighting up a Halloween pumpkin behind the crossbar on the right side of the pole. It flashes and glows up into the insulator for a nice effect. It runs on 3AAA batteries. I used 3 screws to hold it in at an angle.

The light behind Missile command is simply a red flashing/rotating beacon that rests on top of the game and against the wall at an angle.

The whole point of having things light up is that the power is supposed to be out along the Lost Highway. The lines are cut on my poles and in the mural, too.

Here's the youtube link, its only 15 seconds. (sorry I didn't embed it the right way)

And one pic also....

No doubt! I'd love to have a "Haunted House" shooter, or "Missile", which would go good with the theme. I have 3 EM shooters and 2 of em' are broken, so I have to get those going first....

Cool! Little touches like that really add a lot to any arcade. I especially like the lit-up glass insulator idea.
