We are testing a new system to match Youtube videos to game and manufacturer records.

Please give it a try and hopefully contribute.

Notes:
1. You must be logged onto www.arcade-museum.com in to see any of the video links contributed or to contribute new ones
2. Since these features are only available to logged on users, we are trying a non-queue contribution system. If you add a link, it goes live immediately.
3. Users can delete links, but only links they added, and only for a period of 24 hours after adding them.
4. A flagging or reporting system will be added. In the meantime, if anything inappropriate is added, please PM or email us.
5. Everything contributed is logged. Please don't abuse the system.

Now on to some sample pages:
http://www.arcade-museum.com/members/statistics/new-links.php (report showing newest links added).

http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9217 (a game with a bunch of entries already, R360)

http://www.arcade-museum.com/manuf_detail.php?manuf_id=1277 (Atari, a manufacturer with 10 videos added already).

In the above example, since some of the videos referred to the Atari 2600 instead of to coin-op games, they were attached to the manufacturer instead of to individual game entries.

Any way to add embedded videos to the forum? It's such a nice feature to offer. BYOAC has been doing it for years.

I second that suggestion. It would be a very welcomed feature!

I modified the system to allow inline Youtube clips on these forums. It works now by using the tag 'youtube' with the clip number in between.

ie: remove '(tag)' from this example:

[youtube(tag)]8WudP3QS8Tw[/youtube]

to get:

I added a bunch last night. Enjoy! :)

Thank you very much. Radiac uploaded almost as many as you did, and we have some anonymous contributions.

We passed 150 entries last night, and we are track to hit 200-250 today.

Also, I modified the game and manufacturer detail pages so clips can be played directly on the page. It's a work in progress, so I'm likely to continue tweaking the layout.

If you can embed them on the page for each game, I think that could be very useful for all users of the database. There is nothing like seeing the game in action to really get a feel for it.

Im just a newbie, but i think it would be sweet to have a section of forums just for newbies, and inbed youtube videos in each thread. Like one thread for discharging monitors, wiring up a molex connector, soldering tips etc. And then everyone could post and share info in each thread about the you tube video presented in the thread. I just joined, so there might already be something like this i dont know about, if there is link me lol!

Right now on the main site users can link to videos about games and about manufacturers. Next week I'm likely to add an ability to add the ability to tag videos about tech help (and possibly locations and home arcades).

Am I dense? I don't see a link anywhere to add video to an entry on KLOV. Anyone care to step me through it a bit more?

It's so easy even a cave man can do it.
Just click on the link that says

Looks like this
Fixes
As with all of Sega's vector games, the Electrohome color vector monitor used for this game has a notorious tendency to catch fire. It is unknown what to do to prevent this.
