Here's the goalie on my new World Cup Soccer 94.
It's moves back and forth. But is a little loose and cracked.
What do you think, does this all look right?
If the shots are registering in the switch edge tests then the wiring and diode are ok.
What concerns me is the position of your goalie. You should have about 1/4" clearance from playfield to bottom of goalie. The armature that holds the goalie should be positioned where the goalie actually leans out and not straight up and down. This allows the ball to smack the goalie and not cause the goalie to bang against the metal box behind it "top of goal". The goalie armature appears to be bent on yours.
Here's a pic of the clearance: http://ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=2811&picno=43244
As a side note, I noticed on mine that the goalie wasn't making a complete sweep to the left. The wiring for the goalie was rerouted causing this. My wiring was run on the top side of the kickout solenoid assembly. I ran it behind this assembly and now the goalie has full left and right range.
