Anyone ever make any covers to just slide down over a game for moving them ? Would be great for keeping out bugs, rain, sun, etc. Shrink wrap is "ok" but a more permanent set of covers would be great.

Probably be expensive but I'm sure a boat cover fabricator could make it. Something to look into maybe...

How about mattress covers, which you could probably get free from a mattress store? Certainly wouldn't fit like a glove but I've heard they work really well as a quick and dirty alternative to shrink wrap and the plastic is thick to boot. One of these days I'll get around to trying to pick up some for myself.

I work in communications and when new cabinets that house data equipment come from the factory they generally come packaged with a large relatively thick plastic bag covering the cabinet. These cabinets are generally the size of an arcade game only just a bit taller. These bags are pretty much perfect for a quick cover up and moving a game in less than ideal weather. They are clear bags though so they give no sun protection but so far that's never been an issue for me.

I think there are sources to buy these bags or ones like them online.

Now while I'd bet it would be pretty expensive it would be awesome to have lined and padded bags for games with the idea of protecting the games in transport like when I haul games to CAX. Would certainly be easier than padding and shrink wrapping each one.

Atv cover

I use a full size Atv cover, thay are the right size for most arcade cabs, Thay are also a nice fit for you pins to. Between srinkwrap and tha Atv cover I have never got wet.

While maybe not the best but the most cost effective that I can think of...Home Depot, plastic painters drop cloth = $3.00 + possibly some duck tape.

Christmas Tree Bags maybe?

then the games can double as decorations as well :D

A long time ago, I bought 2 heavy vinyl covers. They do a pretty good keeping the games from getting scratched. Bought them at an auction so I don't know who was selling them. But mine are light tan. You should keep an eye out for them. I know they made them in pinball, vids, and I think jukeboxes.

That is exactly what I am talking about. Gonna buy a couple and see how it goes.

your still going to need to cover them. I would think the wind would tear a hole in them over a long trip. Probably a blanket and shrink wrap the 1st game/games that will catch wind.

How about these?

I use a large grey tarp from walmart, which is much larger than a game. Then use shrink wrap to hold the tarp on. Cheap, and haven't had a problem yet.
