On the previous (4P) machine, at some point I noticed that the sound was coming out backwards. If you punched on the right side of the screen, the sound effect played on the left, and the reverse is true. Explosions on the left are heard on the right. I figured it was just a bad OP replacement of the speakers or something and "fixed" the wiring. Golden. That was about a year ago.
We just picked up a 6P machine, and it is seemingly working. I plugged it all up (the speaker cable only attaches to the PCB in one orientation) and boot it up, and... Stereo is backwards. At this point I think I'm losing my mind, and I went and ran the game in Mame, and lo and behold, the stereo is the correct way. Punch on the left, heard on the left. What are the odds that on two different games, two different models of the same game, the same issue would be spontaneously present?
Anyone got an X-Men with reversed stereo? Is this a known thing?
