I have no intentions of buying this but out of curiosity was it originally a Centipede cab?

I would say yes. That shape and single coin door. all the other usual suspects have over/under coin doors.
I concur with the 'yes' votes. Although I'd know 100% if I could see the rear corner which is hidden from view.
You can tell it is a Centipede without seeing the lower rear corner (you don't need to see the coin door either for that matter). The section of the side panels between the control panel area and the marquee area is wider on a Centipede than on a Dig Dug, Kangaroo, or Arabian:

Those two cabs are different. That lower notch cut out of the rear corner usually (from what I've heard) signifies a Dig Dug. Maybe I'm wrong?
That's cool! It would be neat to put a silhouetted atari logo in the middle, then make into a poster. There's a really good graphic here showing the differences in shapes between various Atari cabs:

They are different. I think what he is trying to say is that you can tell by the size of the monitor cutout. Also the angle by the monitor intersects the control panel in a different spot. He is trying to point out another difference. The one on the right is a Dig Dug/Kangaroo/Arabian cab.
