Just curious. I've seen a TON of street fighter cabinets, but I've always wondered if they ever came built for the purpose of holding only street fighter. The SFII cab I used to have, to me looked dedicated, but I've seen the same cab with other games.

So, was there one? or does capcom just throw their games in to a variety of cabinets? I'm kinda leaning towards that, based on what I've read.

Yes there is a dedicated one. Can find any pics of one at the moment.

SFII used a Dynamo 25" cab as their "dedicated" cab...

Sweet... thanks...

I'd read about the Dynamo for SFII, and I think that's the one I had. But when I bought it, I wasn't too in to the collecting of arcade's, I just thought it was toatally cool to have... Now I'm in to it, and I don't have that one anymore... lol...

The original SFII (The World Warrior) was only sold as a kit, but it was intended for Dynamo HS-1 (19"), HS-2 (19"), and HS-5 (25") cabinets. This is evidenced by the fact that the bezels had two outlines printed on the back showing where to cut for an HS-1/HS-2, and for an HS-5. HS-1 and HS-2 cabinets are essentially the same thing BTW, the difference being that the HS-2 has the slide-out drawer in front for easy access to the gameboard.

Street Fighter II: Champion Edition was available in kit form, or dedicated in a Dynamo HS-5:
