But nothing arrived, last night I checked the status and it said the delivery date was changed to 6/28/2010. Then this morning I get Quantumview notice about my package

See below:

This can't be good... Rich did you pack it good enough to survive this?

holy shiat!! i hope you get it, though, everything could be smashed to bits! (or maby it was sent in a bomb proof container... if that´s the case, you will receive it on monday :D)

I know, this sucks. I can only hope the box was packed in the middle of the train car or in a spot where something else absorbed the blow. :(

I will know more on Monday I guess.

I wonder where the train derailment was. That location HOGKINS could have been where it was, but it's also the hub for UPS and may have just been where they reported it from.

Of course this has to happen when I am getting a glass item shipped to me.

wow never seen that before!
Box was marked "delicate expenisve china" and clearly marked in french Fragile'
Im sure it will be ok :D

It could be a different train that derailed, or a minor derailment in a switching yard or hole.

This is probably it. Headed for Washington and it happened in Montana so it was in between you two.

This article says it is on the mainline through Montana, so you could just be impacted and being rerouted.

I just know it! my glass marquees are in that boxcar. :)

Just realized you are the one in IL. The actual derailed train was going the other direction. So you are just being rerouted then due to the line closure.

I received mine, and the packing job was good enough to survive most anything. You know, something like this just happened to me recently with a package that I shipped out. It was a ONE-OF-A-KIND prototype part that I air-shipped to Philadelphia for a magazine article. The item was delayed, and the reason given when tracking the package was "Traffic Accident" at 2:30 in the morning before it was due to arrive. I had never seen that one before, either. The picture posted SERIOUSLY looks like a model train from the set of a "Godzilla" movie...

Anyhow, I did receive my marquee and plate, but have a question about the plate. Are we supposed to GLUE it or something? No instruction was given. It doesn't have rivet holes or an adhesive backing. Any ideas???

Double-sided tape? I haven't put mine on yet.

I'm looking forward to getting mine, no tracking email yet :-(

The worst thing listed on tracking I've personally seen was flooding, but it dealt with rerouting packages, not actually flooded packages.

Two words.

oh Shit. thats all that would come to mind seeing that

Hehe. I guess UPS is just screwing up right and left lately. I've been waiting on a package, and it seemed to have disappeared, but I checked again today, and it seems to be moving. What's wrong with this picture?
